South Central Illinois artist, Diane Singler, creates colorful paintings that are the result of various and innovative techniques. Having grown-up on a farm in the Bible Belt, she is influenced by nature and her faith. Her paintings become visual prayers that express joy through emotional use of color, pattern, and storytelling. Gold leaf and other illumination materials give a sense of spirituality to her paintings.

Imaginary heavenly landscapes, bible stories, whimsical still-lives created from memorized drawings, and abstracts are her most recent subjects.

Diane's use of bold color and pattern is an influence from her favorite artists Henri Matisse, Vincent Van Gogh, Wayne Thiebaud, Gustav Klimt, and John August Swanson. Her materials are contemporary acrylic paints and mediums.
